My vision is to create an architecture of sculptural lightness that inspires ideas, promotes joy, and elevates sustainable systems.

Each design situation is unique because everyone I have ever worked with brings a unique perspective. I help my clients identify opportunities by generating ideas and developing value-driven solutions that solve complex architectural puzzles. I led the design of several high-profile mixed-use, corporate, commercial, and residential buildings, including towers of up to 275m. I am a resource for biophilic design and mass timber design. In 2022, I received a FastCompany Innovation by Design award and, in 2017, a Seattle AIA Honorable Mention for innovative use-neutral and mass timber high-rise buildings. I have built a competitive, sustainable design practice for a large, global architecture firm by spearheading a firm-wide sustainable design strategic plan. Today, as a principal in architecture, I am head of the architecture studio at IBI Group in Seattle, USA.

I have a keen sense of market dynamics and realities and value the power of exploring new possibilities and imagining multiple alternatives. Successful projects emerge when we allow preconceived notions to fall away, making space for attitudes of curiosity, openness, and ambition.

What I stand for:

  • Collaboration and Commitment

  • Innovation

  • Inspiring Ideas

  • Fun!
